Alpha Pi Phi's International Conference

  • In person: $60 CAD

  • Virtual: Free of $40 CAD

  • Registration to attend in person, closes January 31, 2022.

  • Registration to attend virtually, closes February 15, 2022.

  • Please pay the registration fee prior to filling out the google form (register here button). Once payment is received your spot is reserved.

  • In person attendance includes breakfast, lunch, snack, ferry ride, all printed materials, and covers the cost of the venue.​

  • At this time, only 72 in person spots are available due to Vancouver's mandated Covid-19 restrictions.​

    • ​We are hoping that Covid-19 restrictions will be lifted/eased and we will be able to offer additional spots. Our venue can accommodate 150+ people.

  • Virtual attendance:

    • $40 CAD includes all printed materials shipped to your house which will allow the conference to be as immersive as possible.

    • Free version provides access to the Zoom link and all materials will be emailed to you.

    • The conference is being held in the Columbia Room on the 2nd floor Mezzanine level.

  • You may book a room at the hotel using the provided booking code "ALP" to get the discounted rate.

    • The discounted room rate is $139 CAD/night, plus $25/CAD for each additional person over two people. Rates are subject to applicable taxes and fees.

    • Parking is $29 CAD/day.

  • Everyone is responsible for booking and paying for their own lodging.

  • You are not required to stay at the Holiday Inn, you may find your own lodging.

  • Discounted rate expires on February 2nd, 2022.

Covid-19 Protocols

  • The current health order, requires all attendees to be masked and fully vaccinated.

  • For international travel, use this link to find out if you can enter Canada.

    • ​Vaccinated international travelers are allowed to enter as of September 7. Accepted Covid-19 vaccines in Canada are: Pfizer-BioNTech; Moderna; AstraZeneca/COVISHIELD; and Janssen/Johnson & Johnson.

    • You must take a molecular test within 72 hours of the scheduled departure time of your flight to Canada. If you have a connecting flight, the test must be taken within 72 hours of the scheduled departure time of your last direct flight to Canada. You may need to schedule the test in your transit city.

    • Unvaccinated international travelers will not be allowed to enter Canada, even if you have tested negative for COVID-19.

  • If you feel sick, stay home and get tested.

Getting to the hotel from the airport

  • Taxi/Uber- 30 minute drive 

  • TransLink- public transportation

    • Departs every 15 minutes from YVR airport

    • Take the Canada Line towards Waterfront

    • Exit at Yaletown-Roundhouse station

    • Walk 0.4 miles (10 minutes)

    • Arrive at Holiday Inn & Suites Vancouver Downtown

    • Cost $5

Ferry Ride

  • March 5th at 5:30pm

  • Not a mandatory event, however, the ticket is included in the cost of registration.

  • Meet at the Aquatic Centre Ferry Dock- look for "False Creek Ferries".

  • The dock is a 15 minute walk from our hotel, everyone is responsible for getting themselves to the dock on time.

  • We will have a sunset cruise around the harbor for approximately one hour.

  • No bathrooms on board.

  • Each boat can hold 20 people.

  • Boats are covered and heated but it is still recommended to dress very warm and dry.

  • Boats operate rain or shine.
